It's Eve

Hello! I'm Olga (Oleum), a Prague-based BJD artist and founder of Eve Studio Dolls. For the past 13 years, I've been passionately crafting unique ball-jointed animals and custom fantasy creatures. From the very first digital sketch to the final delicate brushstroke, I pour my heart into each piece. Over two thousand of my creations have found loving homes worldwide, and seeing collectors share photos of their new friends enjoying their lives is my greatest joy.

Eve Studio Dolls operates as a full-cycle art studio. My dolls are never meant to be mere shelf decorations! They are engineered for life: durable, with long-lasting paint jobs, and capable of holding flawless poses thanks to my custom-designed joint systems. Almost all of my models feature interchangeable magnetic heads, allowing you to change their expressions or create interesting comic scenes in seconds. My assistant—a cat named Eve, who my studio is proudly named after—and I welcome you to our world!

Pioneering BJD Engineering Since 2013

Founded by artist Oleum (Olga Bekreeva) as Oleum’s Dolls, our studio stood at the origins of 3D modeling for BJD master models, bridging the gap between ZBrush sculpting, emerging 3D printing, and classical doll engineering. Becoming the first to integrate polyamide 3D prints into finished dolls, the studio pioneered custom dyeing technologies that endure joint friction and openly shared this expertise in our blogs, later evolving into Eve Studio Dolls.

The Trendsetter: Our First ZBrush Sphynx Cat

Our first articulated BJD cat became a true trendsetter for the entire industry. Before Eve Studio Dolls, the market had never seen such highly flexible, anatomically realistic, and detailed animals in a ready-to-adopt form. This cat (our beloved firstborn, Ilyusha) established completely new standards for mobility and realism, becoming the primary benchmark for the doll world and, inevitably, inspiring numerous imitations across the community. We take pride in the fact that we actively sculpted the digital evolution of BJD pets.

Advanced Materials: SLS Polyamide vs. Photopolymer Resin

Creating a BJD companion is a continuous search for the perfect balance between physics and art. To bring my designs to life, I use only the highest quality materials, paints, and protective fixatives, mastering two distinct production methods:

  • SLS Polyamide (High-Grade Nylon): This is one of the toughest, most durable materials you can use for ball-jointed engineering. Perfect for our active animal dolls, it is colored using a special deep-dyeing technique and features a gorgeous, velvety tactile texture.

  • High-Precision Photopolymer Resin: Smooth, flawless, and possessing stunning optical properties similar to real skin (subcutaneous dissemination). It allows for micro-detailed textures and rich custom color mixing, making it the ideal choice for our Lily lineup and human-like dolls.

From our large-scale BJD pets and realistic gesture hands to our pocket-sized Lily lineup—every single model is an original intellectual and artistic piece designed from scratch. But engineering is only the first step. Every single piece undergoes hours of meticulous manual finishing, including precise hand-sanding, professional stringing, and delicate custom painting. We deliberately keep our production runs small and exclusive, choosing uncompromising quality over mass manufacturing. When you adopt from EveStudio, you are choosing an authentic design, owning a unique limited-edition treasure, and becoming a part of the history that started the modern era of digital BJD art.

For those who love to dive deep into history, you can still explore our roots. We have preserved our vintage LiveJournal blog, where I documented everything from our very first steps, shared my knowledge, and hosted detailed BJD tutorials. You can also wander through our legacy archive on Flickr. To stay connected with our ongoing story, feel free to check out our rich history on Instagram and Facebook, or subscribe to our YouTube channel, where I occasionally share behind-the-scenes process videos and updates on our new releases.
